THOMASVILLE — A key component in Thomasville’s scintillating season is once again ready to sizzle overseas.
Sophomore Willie Clayton, last year’s Times-Enterprise player of the year, will travel with a U.S. National team in April to Argentina to compete in a 17-and-under tournament.
Newton comes into the state semi-finals with one blemish on their record, a loss to AAAA Richmond Academy early in the year. They find themselves on a 20 game winning streak and the task of trying to beat Milton to advance to the championship game. They also have one of the hottest players in the state in 6-foot-2 junior combo Derrick Henry.

CARROLLTON, GA - The game came down to the final seconds. Evictor Nickerson had given Norcross a one point lead after sinking two free throws with 10 seconds to play. On the next possession, after a missed three pointer from Shannon Scott, a scramble for the rebound ensued, ending in a controversial foul call against a Blue Devils players with no time showing on the clock.

Alisha Andrews, 4'11 PG, Redan HS, GA had 17 points and 11 assist in a 70-40 victory Stevenson as Redan wins 50 straight games and look to repeat as girls 5A champs.
Albany Monroe HS, GA the Tornadoes men's basketball teamare 19-0 and looking forward to a perfect season in route a AAA state championship. Tornadoes are led by senior guard Richard Arnold and stong defensively.
Adam Smith6'0" 2011 SG Fayette County HS, GA is the team's high scorer at 25.7 ppg, shootingover 60% with 70 three's for the Tigers. Fayette County (5A-AAAA) is 20-4 overall and 10-2 in the region.
Rockdale County,GA the Bulldogs is 24-1 for the season, undefeated in 8B-AAAA region with 14-0 record and currently the number one ranked team in state in AAAA under first year coach Alvin Williams.
Norcross HS, GA the Lady Bluedevils are ranked number four in the state with a 21-3 record and 16-1 in 7-AAAAA region play. The Lady Bluedevils are led by Briana Jordan and freshman phenoms Diamond Desheilds and Kaela Davis.
Arthur Ashley 2010 (1st Presperterian Baptist Ministries, Hinesville) 6-foot-6 wing that can put the ball on the floor and finish above the rim. Ashley can play the 2 or the 3 at the next level because he can handle the ball in transition against pressure. He is a very skilled player with a smooth shooting stroke with range beyond the arc.
2015 Kayla Smith of Fayette County Middle, at 5'10 was quickly moved up to the 8th grade team after avg 23 ppg. Smith runs the floor well for her size and has a nice touch from 15 ft. Solid student with a 4.5 GPA.
2014 - Shadell Bell of Columbia Middle, 6-foot-3 athletic wing forward can get it done in the paint and from the perimeter. Has good bounce and rebounds his position.
2014 - Brianna Williams of Pickneyville Middle, 5-foot-2 point guard works hard on both ends of the floor. Good defender and hustles on the floor to make plays.
2014 Jarvis Canty of Columbia Middle, a heady point guard that controls the game. Canty has a high basketball IQ, distributes the ball to teammates in scoring postion and is a solid defender.
Tot Dardin of Valley, AL, has great vision and plays with poist. Scores at will but knows how to facilitate to others for scoring. Physically mature and already playing varsity as an eight grader.
